Bowie Library
What Does the Bowie Library Offer?
The Bowie library provides many resources and services to students and staff. We have a large selection of books for all types of readers and reading levels but we also offer:
- Online searching for physical books and eBooks through Destiny Discover, our online libray catalog.
- Book repair for various types of books (check out our new CoverOne book repair machine!)
- Professional resources for staff
- Interlibrary loan from all CISD campuses for teachers and students.
- Class sets for teachers
- Scholastic Book Room (Links to an external site.)
- Time, space, and materials are available for makerspace and project-based learning.
- KPAW News is housed inside the library with access to a green screen.

Hello! My name is Cody Johnson and I am the librarian for Bowie Elementary. It is an honor to be in charge of my favorite place in the whole school...The Library! I have been with the district for 20 years as a classroom teacher and a campus technician, and I love my current role as campus library facilitator.
